Sacred Reminders – Post 2: The Body Remembers — When We Resist, We Store

The Body Remembers — When We Resist, We Store

We often think healing is only about the mind—changing thoughts, shifting perspectives, finding clarity. But the body holds its own truth. It doesn’t forget.

When we stray from the deep grounding that everything is for our highest good, the body takes notice. It stores the tension. It tightens. It aches. It whispers through unease.

The body is the first to speak when the soul has been silenced.

Every time I ignore my inner guidance, push down my truth, or try to “make it okay” for the comfort of others—my body tells me otherwise.

We don’t need to decode these signals with logic.

We just need to listen.

Feel.

Breathe.

When I return to stillness, I realize:

The discomfort isn’t a punishment.

It’s an invitation.

A nudge back to alignment.

The body always tells the truth. It’s not separate from the soul—it’s the soul’s messenger.

So when my body speaks through unease, I ask gently:

What part of me is not feeling safe? What have I abandoned within myself?

And then I sit.

I place my hand over my heart or womb.

I breathe into that space.

And I say: I hear you now. I will not abandon you again.

Sacred Reflection:

“My body is a sacred ally.

When I resist truth, it holds it for me—until I am ready to return.”

Responses Reveal the truth

“Our responses reveal more than we realise — how open-hearted we are, how accepting we are… or how cringy our unhealed bits still feel. Every reaction is a mirror. Every moment is a chance to soften.”

To provide for one’s significant other is an act of love and care, not a license to be disrespectful, mean, or controlling. True giving...
